Tornado M60 is a powerful Digital Media Center Personal Computer that supports Standard and High Definition (HD) video, audio/video playback, web browsing and a myriad of media applications. The product connects to a TV set or a monitor and enables users to play digital media, chat, browse the Internet, use popular Linux applications, and more. Designed for Digital Media Center applications, Tornado M60 can also be used as a personal computer, allowing users to install their own applications running under open-source Linux operating system.

Full Featured PC with Open-Source Linux

Tornado M60 is a full-featured personal computer that runs an open-source Fedora Linux operating system. Unlike traditional PCs, Tornado M60 is designed to function primarily as a Digital Media Center and loaded with media applications and interfaces.

Digital Media Center Client by SysMaster

Tornado M60 comes with SysMaster’s Digital Media Center client, which allows playback of IPTV, Video-on-Demand, Digital Music and Internet Radio streams. In addition to audio/video playback functionality, SysMaster’s DMC client also offers video encoding, camera streaming and VoIP Telephony capabilities.

VoIP Telephony with SIP Protocol Support

Tornado M60 offers VoIP Telephony capabilities enabled by the SysMaster DMC client. The preinstalled DMC application supports the SIP protocol and can work with any standard third party SIP registration server for making VoIP calls over the Internet or other broadband infrastructure.

Support for Popular Audio/Video Compression Standards

Tornado M60 supports multiple audio and video compression standards. The product supports the popular H.264, MPEG4, MPEG2 and WMV video standards as well as the traditional MOV, WMV, FLV and ASF ones. Tornado M60 also supports the most popular audio compression standards, including MP3 and WAV.

Standard and High-Definition Video Support

Tornado M60 supports both Standard and High Definition (HD) video at resolutions up to 720p/1080i. That allows it to deliver video with greater detail, realism and quality, especially to large format TV screens. HD video signal from Tornado M60 is delivered to the TV screen via S-Video or VGA HD cables.

Personal Video Recorder Functionality

Tornado M60 comes with full-featured Personal Video Recorder (PVR) application. That software enables users to record their favorite TV shows and/or movies. Additionally, the PVR application supports program scheduling, allowing it to record video content at specific times of day, week or month.

100+ Over-The-Top (OTT) and Free-To-Air (FTA) Channel Support *

The server includes over 100 built-in OTT and FTA channels that allow service jump-start with a large number of pre-defined channels. In addition, the OTT channels do not require bandwidth support because the STB devices will access them directly without connecting to the Streaming server. OTT and FTA channels are great IPTV service complement that provides better channel variety and selection.
