Product Overview

VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing is an advanced billing server designed for deployments in a wide spectrum of TV, video, voice and content delivery business models that rely on broadband connections as a last mile to subscribers. The product supports both pre and post paid billing models and provides flexible management and billing of multiple content objects. Combined with SysMaster’s comboSwitch Video Encoder, iptvSwitch Streaming server and Tornado M10 Digital Media Center, VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing offers a turnkey solution for deployment of IP TV, Video-on-Demand, Pay-per-View and other triple play solutions.

Object, Channel, List Management for Video and Audio Streams

VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing server allows advanced management for video and audio objects, channels, and lists. The system supports unlimited media objects, and allows grouping of objects into channels and/or lists. Every system subscriber can be assigned to different billing plans and have access to multiple objects, lists, and content channels. The system supports unlimited number of customizable billing plans and content lists to provide high level of flexibility.

Time Scheduling, Video-on-Demand (VOD) and Pay-per-View (PPV) Support

VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing server offers a Time Scheduling feature which allows for easy scheduling and management of content objects. The system also supports VOD and PPV services for on-demand object streaming.

Pre-Paid and Post-Paid Billing Models Support

VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing server supports both pre-paid and post-paid billing models to allow extra flexibility for service providers and subscribers. The pre-paid billing model allows providers to extend services to subscribers that are globally connected to the system. All media requests are billed in real-time to ensure sufficient account balance and low credit risk.

Video, Audio, and Online Services Support

VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing server provides support for video, audio, online services as well as content streaming. The product can manage the streaming of virtually any media content including MPEG4, MP3, AAC, AVI, WAV, PCM and other file formats. In addition, it can provide granular billing for each content stream.

Picture Slide Show, Chat, Weather, News, Email Reader Services

VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing server supports management of auxiliary online services such as Chat, Weather Information, News, Email, Currency Information, and others. It also supports Picture Slide Shows. To provision and manage such services, the server needs to be implemented together with Tornado M10 Digital Media Center devices.

Stream Caching and Load-Balancing Services

VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing server offers stream caching and subscriber load-balancing services to ensure uninterrupted system operation and high system availability. The system supports scaleable subscriber distribution on stream and geographical levels. Uplink data streams are also cached to reduce the uplink overload and optimize the overall service availability.

Subscriber Billing and Authentication Services

VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing server provides advanced billing and user management services. The product supports dynamic authentication for real-time billing of any media object. Such real-time billing reduces risk to service providers as it enables them to automatically disconnect any subscriber whose account balance is depleted. In PPV or VOD environments the server can manage time-limited object streaming and subscriber billing after the initial request is processed.

Online Interactive Consumer Surveys

VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing server offers interactive Question and Answer functionality which enables service providers to survey their subscribers while they interact with the system. Such functionality is very useful for service providers who want to conduct marketing research and/or measure results from advertising campaigns.

Real-Time Program Interaction Reporting

VoiceMaster Content Management and Billing server supports real-time reporting for programs that subscribers watch. The function is extremely useful for service providers that want to do real-time people-metric or program demographic analysis.
